Fabulous Friday

I've been a total slacker on my blog. I've been really busy with the little one as she seriously won't let me put her down for longer than a minute. But, I wanted to link up with Laura for Fabulous Friday!

My little girl.
Seriously, she's just too flippin cute. She's extremely attached to me and has taken up to crying when someone other than me holds her at night when she's tired. I can't lie. It makes me feel special. She loves me! She really loves me! hahaha
Photography.
After like a 10 year hiatus, I've picked up my camera again for more than just quick daily snapshots. I still miss old school photography but I've been having fun on photoshop. Sometimes it makes me feel like an idiot and then I figure something out and I feel like a genius. I'm testing the waters with starting a photography business here. I just found out I'd have to get a German business license. Is it sad that that makes me rethink this whole thing? I'm lazy. My newborn of a photography website is here.
Etsy.
Etsy, you are the second most evil website in the universe. Right after Amazon. Evil, but still fabulous. What's even more fabulous is that me and K just ordered a ton of supplies to start our very own Etsy shop. Stay tuned for progress on that!
Starbucks.
Would you believe that there is not a single Starbucks near me? Like seriously, not even within 30-45 minutes from me. Yeah, I get it. We're in Europe and they take their coffee seriously. But you know what? I love my Starbucks. I'm in Stuttgart right now and in just a little bit, I am going to go to Starbucks!!! I can't tell you how exciting this is. Mmmmmm YUMMY!
Clean dogs.
The dogs got baths the other day. FINALLY. Now, I don't feel dirty petting them. Yeah, it had been that long. I'm a bad mommy to my furry children! That is usually daddy's job so... yeah.
Isabella's Godmother.
She made me Korean food last night! We are visiting for almost a week and I can't tell you how nice it is to eat great food... without having to cook it! She's got a whole menu planned for us while we're here. And she's making my favorite cupcakes! She makes me want to rethink polygamy. You know, except she'd also have to get her own husband. I'm not a sharer. I just want cupcakes everyday.
Okay, time for me to get ready to enjoy some Starbucks. Go link up with Laura!

Better late than never!

I tried to take Bean's Easter/3 month pictures last week but with her 3 month growth spurt making her grumpy, it just wasn't gonna happen. I only got 25 pictures this morning before she had a meltdown so I only had a few useable photos but I thought I would share! I'm going to attempt to get more pictures in a few days. Hopefully she'll be in a better mood by then.

She looks pretty content right? Yeah, not for long. Below is two frames later.

She still looks cute :)

3 Month Growth Spurt

Isabella turned 3 months on Sunday. I had a great Easter dress picked out and set out to do a photoshoot of her first Easter / 3 month pictures. Yeah, didn't happen. The 3 month growth spurt has hit us hard. And really, this kid does NOT need to grow any more. There was a 6 month old at the BBQ we went to on Sunday and Isabella was bigger than she was. It makes me sad.

She has had at least one meltdown a day since Sunday. She sleeps non-stop. I swear she's only awake a few hours a day and those few hours she is grumpy. She's only happy first thing in the morning and then it's downhill from there. I think at this point, without the Moby, I'd be dead. Or my arms would be. She does not want to be put down. Diaper changes that used to be fun are done quickly to minimize the pouty lip and tears. Car trips? Let's just say I don't plan on leaving the house tomorrow.

But you know what? It's all okay. I even think her little face when she's crying during her meltdowns is cute. She cuddles up on my chest all day and rubs her face on me and sleeps peacefully and I smell her hair and all is good in the world. She lays in bed at bedtime and will not close her eyes until I lay with her. As soon as I lay down with her, she closes her eyes. Melts. My. Heart.

I love every second that she wants to be attached to me. It isn't going to last forever. I'm sure in 13 years I'll be "ruining her life" and she'll be locking herself in her room.

For now, we are each other's everything and nothing could possibly make me happier.

Guess who rolled over?

This little girl!

It was completely unexpected because she hates tummy time and she never tolerates it for more than 1 minute. Seriously, 1 minute. I was just showing my parents on Skype how good she held herself up and the little booger rolled over! I couldn't believe it so I put her on her tummy again and she rolled over again! This morning I put her on her tummy and the little booger immediately rolled over... again... and again... and again. So, we can kiss tummy time goodbye. She hates it and now she knows how to get out of it. lol. I can't wait to send the video to Christopher so he can see his little girl doing big girl things!

And seriously... how freakin cute is she???

Randoms & Pictures

This is just going to be a random post.

Oatmeal is disgusting. I'm trying to increase my milk supply and last night I made some awful avocado concoction and this morning I had oatmeal. No bueno. I'm going to order Mother's Milk Tea and see how that goes. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I got my Sunbaby 4.0's in and I heart them. They're so soft and seem so much more comfy than the Thirsties Duo Snap Wrap covers and inserts. I'm upset that I only ordered 12 of them to start. I'm going to order 12 more. I'm still waiting on 7 Alvababy's to get here too. I think I'm addicted to buying cloth diapers. Honestly, I want to order 24 more Sunbaby's but I think Christopher might have something to say about that...

I need to vaccum and clean the house. I really don't want to... at all.

My feet are always cold. I'm too lazy to get up and get my fuzzy socks.

The landlord is almost done putting up the fence around the front of the house. I'm SO happy about this. It has been irritating having to take the dogs out front on a leash and having to worry about leaving the baby and not being able to hear her cry. She's been pretty good and I try to make it quick but it still makes me really uncomfortable. And, it's not really fair to the dogs.

I'm really bad with uploading pictures. Mostly because the files are so huge and it takes forever to upload and I'm lazy. How do you guys upload so many pictures? Do you just deal with the slow upload?

Bean turned 2 months on the 24th. She's been in 6 month clothes for a week. Crazy huh? She's a big girl. I don't think I ever really had a "newborn." I swear, her hands are like a toddlers.

Love, love, love, love, LOVE my two babies =)

She's pretty smart.

She only really smiles when she's sleeping. When she's awake she just stares at us with a very concerned look. Who could blame her???

Love.

Big shits come from little packages.

Christopher is very proud of his little girl. She has his hair, the same exact cow lick, and his skin tone. She even farts and poops just as much as he does. Proud papa I tell ya.

He is so great with her. I catch him staring at her all the time. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "She's so beautiful." I've really hit the jackpot with this guy. This strong 6'5" man has been brought to tears several times just looking at his daughter. I thought I loved him before, but now, I love him on an entirely different level.

It really is true what they say about not knowing what love is until you have a child. It blows me away. I just look at her and can't believe that this little bundle of awesomeness is actually my baby. WTF! I don't know what the hell I did to deserve her, but I'm glad someone thought enough of me to let me be her mom. Seriously, whoever you are, you win in my book.

I took a few pictures of her when she turned 1 week old. Here's the lovely Isabella.

I'll post the others later. For now, I have some cuddling to do with my Christopher. There hasn't been too much of that happening lately and that has got to change!

Introducing... THE BEAN!

Isabella Rome was born on January 24, 2011 at 13:43. She weighed 9 lbs 3.8 oz and measured 21.5" long. She has a full head of black hair! We were all surprised by her weight and her full head of hair! I can't even begin to describe how much love we have for this little girl. It truly is the greatest high anyone can ever feel. The c-section was awesome, the recovery has been great, and we got to go home after 48 hours.

We've been adjusting to our new life as parents. Christopher has been a tremendous help around the house and is such an amazing dad. He changed his first ever diaper at the hospital and baby girl decided to give him something to remember. She shot out shit and peed all over the place after he took her diaper off. I caught it on tape. AMAZING! hahaha.

She started off being an amazing breastfeeder but Friday night we had issues that went on through Sunday night. I was in tears and cried pretty much all day on Sunday. She wouldn't latch on and it was really difficult to feed her. I was able to get nipple shields Sunday night and since then, it has gone back to her being an amazing feeder. I don't even want to ever give her a bottle again because of how scared I was that she wasn't latching on properly. I love to breastfeed. I honestly thought it was weird prior to having her but now, I can't imagine doing anything else. There's just an amazing feeling I get looking down and watching her breastfeed.

I was recovering extremely well from my c-section until yesterday. I thought I was about 100% recovered until yesterday. I think I had a set back but I ended up in the ER because the pain was excruciating. All that happened was a scheduled follow-up with OB/GYN tomorrow. I feel better today but that's because they're making me take two percocets every 4 hours. I hate the feeling they give me though. I don't feel clear headed and I feel woozy and a little nauseous. It's either that or the pain though. Bleh. Other than that, I'm really happy with the c-section.

And now, here are pictures of my little baby girl. I can't believe she's already a week old =(
